Job Responsibilities

As a caregiver with us, you will work in outpatient care with patients who have various forms of mental illness. You will serve as a primary contact for patients with conditions such as psychosis and bipolar disorder. You are responsible for continuity, coordination, and follow-up in the patient's care process and serve as an important point of contact with the reception.

A central part of the role is to conduct conversation interventions based on the patient's needs. This may involve stabilizing, motivating, and supportive conversations, and if you have therapeutic further education, individual psychotherapeutic interventions or group therapy may also be relevant. You will participate in patient and relative education and contribute to strengthening the patient's participation and self-efficacy. The work involves close collaboration with other professionals and participation in collaboration meetings based on the patient's needs. You may also attend medical visits and meetings with municipal actors. Depending on your skills and experience, it may include assisting with health checks and sample collections.

Your job responsibilities will be tailored based on your education, experience, and the needs of the organization, and you will work both independently and closely with the team.

The Adult Psychiatric Reception in Köping serves residents of Köping, Kungsör, and Arboga municipalities. We meet patients with conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, neuropsychiatric issues, and psychotic disorders who need psychiatric specialist interventions.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained caregiver with a focus on psychiatry. We see that you have experience working with patients in psychiatry, social psychiatry, treatment facilities, or similar. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and a B driver's license as home visits may occur and travel in the job may be necessary.

It is an advantage if you have worked in outpatient care, such as adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, or primary care. If you also have further training in areas such as CBT, ACT, DBT skills training, or similar, that is a plus. We use the Cosmic journal system and see it as a positive if you have experience with it.

The work involves personal responsibility, and we are looking for someone who is self-driven, flexible, and structured in their work approach. You can work independently with patient continuity and follow-up while collaborating with colleagues and other actors when needed. You meet patients with empathy and respect, adjust your approach according to their needs, and contribute to a safe and professional environment at the reception.

Employment Conditions

Permanent full-time employment with daytime working hours. Start date according to agreement.
